Childrens’ Ghostbusters Village Quiz
Quiz papers available from Cushendall shops and in primary schools for children and parents to complete while visiting the village. Solve the 22 clues to identify the name of the shop, business or building and then find the ghost hidden in their window, write down the name of the ghost on the quiz paper and return completed quiz to one of 3 shops in the village – £2
THURSDAY 19 &FRIDAY 20 OCTOBER
Visiting storytellers will visit St Mary’s PS Cushendall, Glenann PS, St Ciarans PS, Cushendun, St Patrick’s PS Glenariffe ,Barnish PS , Ballycastle Integrated PS, St Patricks and St Brigids PS, Ballycastle and Gaelscoil an Chaistil, Ballycastle and St Mary’s PS, Rathlin Island – FREE
Storytelling for seniors 3 – 4 pm
Storytellers will visit nursing homes and Folds in Cushendun, Cushendall and Ballycastle – FREE
THURSDAY 19 OCTOBER
The Spirit of the Glens –Thursday 19th October 7 30 – 9 30pm
Local people will be encouraged to develop their own storytelling skills at a workshop hosted by Liz Weir organised with the Heart of the Glens Landscape Partnership.
This workshop will help harvest the rich legacy of stories which local people already know. Those attending will be encouraged to develop their own storytelling skills and to gain the confidence to share their stories with the wider community. Stories can be about any subject, from local crafts and jobs, to those which have a sense of place like townland or field names. Tales of fairies, ghosts and banshees will also be encouraged.Storyteller Liz Weir will tell a few stories and perhaps prompt some more from anybody who attends. Listeners are of course also welcome!

Venue: Cushendall Golf Club
An evening of Spooky Tales and Music in Cushendall Golf Club will introduce everyone to our guest tellers.
£5 at the door
Late Night Tales –10 30 pm onwards
Venue:McCollam’s Bar, Cushendall

Story walk in partnership with Glens Red Squirrel Group and Destination Ballycastle

2pm Boat trip to Rathlin Island for Tea and Tales at the recently restored Manor House, returning 4 30pm.
£5 (ferry not included, free for senior citizens )
Spooky crafts, stories, face painting and fancy dress – 2.30-4.00pm
Venue: Cushendall Golf Club
Craft workshop for children including Halloween lanterns and spooky posters, face painting. with some spooky help from the Lurig Drama Group.

Storytelling and music concert featuring internationally known singer songwriter Tommy Sands. Hosted by local singer and storyteller, Feargal Lynn.

Glenariffe Forest Story Walk –11am- 12 30pm
In partnership with the local Walk the Glens Group our very popular story walk will start from Laragh Lodge.Stories will be told around the waterfall walk. The Glens Red Squirrel Group will also host a display for our visitors – FREE
